These videos include interviews with leaders of the film and photography industries on topics such as event videography, filmmaking, cinematography, directing, sound, lighting, documentary, DIY filmmaking and more. Zacuto produces original programming for entertaining and educating individuals in the video, film and photography industries.
Their web series The Great Camera Shootout 2010 was the first web series to win an Emmy Award for excellence in informational programming. Weiss and Bogenhegn have also produced numerous webisodic films and series at Zacuto. In 2000, Weiss formed Zacuto with Jens Bogehegn. Weiss has created and worked in many niche markets like historical videos for Fortune 500 companies, video news releases, new product releases and interviews with CEOs and politicians.
Together, Bogenhegn and Weiss worked on over 600 productions together in the corporate, commercial and political video industries before starting Zacuto in 2000. In 1988, Bogenhegn began working with Steve Weiss as a director of photography and camera operator. His independent credits include: The Oprah Winfrey Show, Watch It and Cosmic Voyage ( IMAX). As a member of IATSE Local 600, Bogenhegn's union credits include: The Untouchables (TV), Wayne's World 2 and U.S.
Since 1985, Bogenhegn has been a professional cameraman and has worked on numerous projects as a Steadicam owner/operator from 1988 through 1998. Caution should be taken to avoid sun magnification.Product Developers Jens Bogenhegn īogenhegn studied at Columbia College Chicago as a film major. This is not a defect but a physical property. The Z-finder is a magnifier and as such will magnify the sun and could damage the LCD screen if the sun is allowed to shine directly through the Z-finder lens.
A non-stick rubber backing ensures a tight fit and prevents scratching of the LCD screen, so that the entire Z-Finder snaps off easily when not in use. The Z-Finder attaches to your camera via the included Gorilla Baseplate and mounting frame, which mount to the bottom of your camera using a standard 1/4"-20 screw. The diopter's extended range of -4.75 and up makes it especially useful for those who are nearsighted.
The Pro 2.5x version offers an adjustable diopter for near or far sighted users, and the LCD image is enlarged by a factor of 2.5x, so you can see every detail for pinpoint focus. Just as crucially, the Z-Finder Pro provides an extra degree of handling comfort and a crucial point of contact-between camera and eye-that adds stability to any handheld video. Whether shooting handheld or on a tripod, the Z-Finder Pro turns your camera's 3.2" LCD screen into a clear, easy-to-focus viewfinder that lets you see your image in magnified detail, even under the brightest sunlight. Zacuto Z-Finder Pro 2.5x for 3.2" Screens is an optical viewfinder that videographers may find necessary for shooting sharp, stable video on DSLR cameras like the Canon 5D MkIII, Nikon D800, or others with the same size LCD display.
